All Things Comedy Producing Three Hour Specials

Bill Burr Presents Paul Virzi: I’ll Say This Coming Nov 2

Multiple exciting announcements today via Comedy Central, all tied in to a new deal between the network and Bill Burr and Al Madrigal’s All Things Comedy (ATC) production banner.

AS part of the deal, Bill Burr is going to be hosting an original stand up series, spotlighting short sets from Burr’s favorite comics. No further details have been released other than that it will be a half hour series.

ATC will also be producing three original one-hour stand up specials for Comedy Central, kicking off with the long-awaited Bill Burr Presents Paul Virzi: I’ll Say This. The hour debuts November 2nd and was filmed last year in Tarrytown NY at the Tarrytown last August. “Paul’s growth as a comedian over the last 5 years has been amazing to watch,” said Burr at the time of the taping. “He has found his voice and developed into a monster headlining act. I’ve seen him destroy in every imaginable situation and it’s great to see him get an hour long special. Well deserved and long overdue!”

Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, Executive Vice Presidents and Co-Heads of Talent and Development, Comedy Central are thrilled with the deal. “Bill Burr is one of the greatest stand-ups working today and we are thrilled to partner with him, Al and ATC on this new series and slate of specials. It’s truly a no brainer to bring ATC’s comedic sensibility to Comedy Central,” said Babineau and Larsen.

“We are all very excited here at ATC to be in business with Comedy Central. They gave me my first national exposure with a half-hour special back when I was just starting out,” stated Burr. “I couldn’t be happier that our first release will be with Paul Virzi. He’s a great friend and comedian and his special is incredible!”

“This partnership allows us to continue to expand on the opportunities we create for our comedians,” said Mike Bertolina, President, ATC. “Comedy Central offers a first class platform to share some of the best comedic voices working today.”
