Author Maurice Sendak Has Passed Away

The New York Times has reported that children’s author Maurice Sendak has passed away due to complications from a stroke.   According to the Times, Maurice Sendak, author of Where the Wild Things Are, was widely considered the most important children’s book artist of the 20th century.  He also authored  The Nutshell Library (Alligators All Around, Chicken Soup with Rice, One Was Johnny and Pierre) and , Higglety Pigglety Pop, his newest work, Bumble-Ardy, and many more.  He was 83.
