If Muhammad was the greatest fighter of all time, you could make a strong argument that Angelo Dundee was the greatest cornerman. Angelo Dundee was the cornerman in all but two of Ali’s fights. He also worked the corner for many of Sugar Ray Leonard’s biggest fights and was in George Foreman’s corner against Holyfeild.
Dundee died at age 90 surrounded by his love ones. He will be remembered as a man who brought class and integrity to a sport that often lacked both.
