Pope Francis confirmed the allegations by a Chilean website that there was a “gay lobby,” or what some describe as a network of gay clergy working within the Vatican. Rocco Palmo, a Vatican watcher who runs a Catholic news website, said, “We don’t have any explanation of what ‘gay lobby’ means.”
