In 1965, Bob Newhart recorded a routine entitled “Paul Revere” for an unknown company or production. It was never used on an album, and research reveals nothing about the existence of this track. The recording sits on an acetate that went unheard by the public until podcast guest Jeff Abraham played it on the Comedy on Vinyl Podcast. Abraham recently purchased the acetate at a sale.

On Wednesday, the recording premiered on episode 163 of The Comedy on Vinyl Podcast with host Jason Klamm.

Since 2011, the Comedy on Vinyl Podcast has discussed the greatest comedy albums of all time with the great comedy minds of the day, and has sat down with some of the legends of comedy to discuss their influential careers.
