Who’s Hosting SNL Tonight: July 30, 2016
It’s summertime so Saturday Night Live is not live, but you can still catch a great episode that you may have missed earlier this year. Tonight NBC is rerunning host Amy Schumer’s episode which originally aired on October 10, 2016. This was Schumer’s first time hosting the show, and well, it’s been her year all year long.
Expectations are always high when a comedy star hosts, and there are often let downs in these situations but not this time. Social media went crazy all night long when Schumer’s episode aired live. Her monologue borrowed from some of her touring material, but was smart, funny and overall reviews were excellent. Tune in to hear her describing the uncomfortable task of bathing a baby, or explaining what it’s like meeting Bradley Cooper. She also talked about Hillary Clinton, and the Kardashians, and being hacked.
Keep your eye out for a terrific parody of American gun culture, a digital short about a selfie stick, and a really strong sketch about a baby shower. Schumer also plays a dirty horny algebra teacher, Mary Todd Lincoln, and an airline stewardess.
The Weeknd is the musical guest.
