    The one near me regularly has the fire alarms pulled; this gives employees enough time to drop merchandise off at their cars before meeting up at their designated check-in spot.

    Did you read the article?  The author based his article on a story a week old employee told, one who wanted to get paid for the time he applied for the job.  A real genius level guy.

    Looks like a decent job to me… and i bet its climate controlled…… try working in a  hot ass non climate controlled warehouse for 10-14 hours a night.  Yeeesh that was one rough gig.
