Watch the Trailer for Netflix Half Hour Specials with Dan Soder, Nikki Glaser and More

It looks like Netflix is trying to elevate its stand up comedy game even further, with the announcement today that the streamer will be launching a new comedy series called The Standups. The series will consist of six half-hour specials that will highlight a handful of comics who haven’t been seen in one-hour specials on the service as of yet. The initial stable of comics they’ve announced are a hilarious bunch. The first run of The Standups will see Dan Soder (SiriusXM’s The Bonfire), Nikki Glaser (Not Safe with Nikki Glaser), Nate Bargatze (The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon), Deon Cole (Black-ish), Fortune Feimster (The Mindy Project), and Beth Stelling (Red Oaks) taking to the stage in Los Angeles to be featured on one of the world’s biggest digital platforms.

The Standups will be released on Netflix on July 4th, making it the perfect way to pass the time as you nurse your 4th of July sunburn/hangover combo.
