Watch Tig Notaro’s ‘One Mississippi’ Pilot Now on Amazon
The Amazon Pilots for Fall 2015 are live on Amazon.com and Tig Notaro’s One Missisippi is the clear standout.
The pilot is dark, very dark, but you won’t be able to take your eyes off of it. Tig is excellent playing herself, and from the opening moments, you can’t help be drawn into the story. The story is loosely based on Notaro’s own life and experiences and starts with some major events in her life. Tig’s character heads back to her hometown to deal with her mom’s death shortly after her own double masectomy. She finds herself in a living hell, where the sudden loss of her mom is just the beginning of the bizarre life changes that await her.

One Mississippi comes from Executive Producers Louis CK, Notaro, Diablo Cody and Executive Producer/Director Nicole Holofcener. Noah Harpster (Transparent) plays her brother Remy, and John Rothman joins as her bizarre and emotionally distant stepfather, Bill. Casey Wilson is playing Tig’s girlfriend Brooke. One Mississippi is being co-produced with FX Productions, and is written and executive produced by Notaro and Diablo Cody (Juno). Blair Breard (Louie), and Dave Becky (Everybody Hates Chris) are on board as EPs.
