Watch The First Episode Of “Last Week Tonight With John Oliver”
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver premiered Sunday night on HBO. Now the premium cable network has made the first episode available on YouTube in its entirety.
After killing it last Summer as fill-in host for Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show”, John Oliver is now hosting his own weekly satirical look at the news, politics and current events. In the first edition of “Last Week Tonight”, Oliver went at it for a full 30 minutes taking on Oregon healthcare, the elections in India (that only John Oliver is covering) and the NFL’s cheerleaders controversy.
Last Week Tonight also already got its first scoop over the non-comedic news networks by scoring the very first interview with General Keith Alexander since he retired as director of the National Security Agency and head of U.S. Cyber Command.
Last Week Tonight airs Sundays at 11 pm Eastern on HBO.
