Watch a Sneak Peek of Weird Al on Comedy Bang! Bang! Season 5

comedy bang bang

Scott Aukerman and “Weird” Al Yankovic complete each other in IFC’s sneak peek for the fifth season of “Comedy Bang! Bang!”. Al has stepped up to replace Kid Cudi as co-host and bandleader, although his legendary, long career follows more closely in the footsteps of original co-founder Reggie Watts. It’s a promising pair-up since both comedians subvert and exaggerate cultural tropes. The misguidedly Hawiian theme for this season’s poster of Scott literally couch surfing while holding up a super chill Al is proof of this.

The two are on exactly the same hyper, wacky wavelength as they talk about nothing and everything. The video is fun and filters through old and new clips from the show, with the regular talk show set-up and theme heavy cutaways. This season features drop-ins from stars such as Kevin Bacon, Kaley Cuoco, Tony Hale, Joe Jonas, Aubrey Plaza, Kristen Schaal, T- Pain and The Lonely Island (Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer).

The new season premieres with the premiere and second episode airing back-to-back on Friday, June 3rd at 11:00-11:30 PM ET/PT. Let the love begin.
