Vincent “Don Vito” Margera (1956-2015)

margera

Vincent Margera, better known to the world as Don Vito from the shows ‘Jackass’ and its spin off, ‘Viva La Bam’, passed away this morning from liver and kidney failure. He was 59.

Don Vito was larger than life in every sense of the word. Large in size, in his appetites for drinking, food and in having a good time. It’s no wonder than his nephew Bam made him the centerpiece – and often the butt – of many of the pranks and stunts that he and his crew would do on the show. Getting Don Vito, uh, let’s just say ‘frustrated’ (which wasn’t hard to do) was always comedy gold – especially when he would be reduced to talking something called gibberish so bad that required subtitles for the audience (and even that didn’t work).

Don Vito has left us, but his memory lives on with Jackass, Viva La Bam and the films Haggard: The Movie, Minghags and Dunn and Vito’s Rock Tour.

Our deepest condolences go out to the entire Margera family, friends and fans.

Rest easy Don Vito.
