United Airlines Isn’t Letting Girls Wear Leggings On Flights

Shannon Watts, a mother-of-five from Colorado and founder of the movement Moms Demand Action tweeted her experience watching a United Airlines gate agent demand some young girls either change out of their leggings or wear a skirt over them. Two of the girls were then not allowed to board the plane because UA claims their rules state that they “have the right to refuse transport for passengers who are barefoot or not properly clothed.” If teenage girls can’t wear a comfortable pair of leggings on a plane, then grown men shouldn’t be allowed to wear gross shorts made out of sweat-pants material.
