Twitter Is Cracking Down On Joke Theft

drop_high_end_juice.0Twitter is now deleting stolen jokes on their social media platform on the basis of copyright grounds. Olga Lexell, a freelance writer in Los Angeles, first wrote a joke on Twitter, which was then picked up and copied by spam bots. She put in a request to Twitter to get them deleted and they complied. In Twitter’s Terms of Service, it’s called the “Carlos Mencia” clause.
