truTV Announces Jam-Packed Cast of New Comedy ‘I’m Sorry’

It appears that truTV has a solid comedy in the works with their newly announced show I’m Sorry. The show, written by and starring actress Andrea Savage, follows successful comedy writer Andrea, a wife and mother who reveals throughout her day-to-day life just how immature and neurotic she really is. Her core circle is comprised of her more matter-of-fact husband, Mike (Tom Everett Scott), her daughter Amelia (Olive Petrucci), her brother (Nelson Franklin), her writing partner Kyle (Jason Mantzoukas), and her estranged parents, played by Kathy Baker and Martin Mull.

From the looks of the first sneak peek from the show, which you can watch below, it seems to have a semi-autobiographical feel similar to ’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, and is supported by a strong cast of comedic actors.

The show will feature a lengthy list of series regulars, as well as a rotating cast of guest stars that are guaranteed to bring the funny. Also starring in the show are Judy Greer (Arrested Development), Lyndon Smith (Parenthood, Public Morals), Steve Zissis (Togetherness), and Gary Anthony Williams (The Boondocks).

The show’s guest stars will include familiar faces like Paul Scheer (The League, Fresh Off the Boat), Nick Kroll (Kroll Show, The League), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex, Cloverfield), Gillian Vigman (The Hangover), John Ross Bowie (Speechless), Jamie Denbo (Children’s Hospital), Rebecca Henderson (Mistress America), June Squibb (Nebraska), and Kulap Vilaysack (Love).

I’m Sorry is scheduled to debut on Wednesday, July 12th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on truTV.
