Trump Says He Cut Ties With NBC Not the Other Way Around; UPDATED: Trump Plans to Sue NBC

UPDATE:  Deadline reports Trump is planning to sue NBC.   Earlier we reported that Trump claims it was his decision to sever ties.

Trump said, “if NBC is so weak and so foolish to not understand the serious illegal immigration problem in the United States, coupled with the horrendous and unfair trade deals we are making with Mexico, then their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court. Furthermore, they will stand behind lying Brian Williams, but won’t stand behind people that tell it like it is, as unpleasant as that may be.”

In a press conference held Monday, Donald Trump says that it was his decision to cut ties with NBC, not the other way around.

Earlier NBC released a statement saying they were cutting ties to T.Rump because of his series of uninclusive statements that he’s been making ever since he announced his candidacy for President.

“They did not want me to run,” Trump said. “They wanted me to do The Apprentice. And now with my statements on immigration which happen to be correct, they are going to take a different stance and that’s OK. Whatever they want to do is OK with me.”

He also said that he ended ties with NBC because his views on immigration are “much different than the people at NBC.”
