A True Blood Musical Is In The Works

HBO is apparently quietly putting together a Broadway musical based on their popular series True Blood. Director Pam MacKinnon put together a workshop with Ellen Foley, Claybourne Elder and Ann Harada. The music is by Nathan Barr, who scored the TV series it’s based on and YA fiction author Elizabeth Scott is writing the book and lyrics, and I hear Alan Ball, who created the TV show, is keeping an eye on the stage version. So get ready to take the whole family to a show that will most likely include lots and lots of gratuitous sex scenes!
