Trilogies: Bad for Movies but Great for Books?

Culture write Kaylin Walker makes a case for the law of diminishing returns when it comes to movie trilogies, each film worse than its previous . The exception to that rule would be book trilogies, which she argues can even improve as the storyline progresses. Walker even uses IMDb movie rankings to support her theory.
