Transparent Writers Considering Writing Tambor Out Of The Series Amid New Accusations?

While Amazon is investigating the sexual harassment claims against Jeffrey Tambor, Deadline is reporting that the writers of the show are working on the next season, and are considering the possibility of writing him out just in case things go badly.

Tambor says he vehemently rejects any allegations of sexual misconduct, calling them baseless. “I am aware that a former disgruntled assistant of mine has made a private post implying that I had acted in an improper manner toward her. I adamantly and vehemently reject and deny any and all implication and allegation that I have ever engaged in any improper behavior toward this person or any other person I have ever worked with.”

The move may be more than just a consideration after todays news brought more allegations against Tambor. Actress Trace Lysette, who appeared as a guest star in several episodes of Transparent now joins Tambor’s assistant in accusing the actor of inappopriate behavior that includes making sexually charged remarks, and an incident that she says “got physical” in a way that included pressing up against her and pushing his penis against her body through thin pajamas. She posted a statement on Twitter.

The allegations are a crushing blow for the series which has always been a progressive champion for individual rights.
