Tracy Morgan Wasn’t Mentally Ready To Do SNL 40

The producers of SNL 40 really wanted that emotional moment in the show of having Tracy Morgan return to TV, but as a friend of his told the NY Post, “He just isn’t mentally or emotionally ready to appear on TV yet”.

Tracy is still rehabilitating from his car accident last June on the Jersey Turnpike when the limo he and others were traveling in was struck by a Walmart tractor trailer. Besides a number of broken bones, Tracy suffered a traumatic brain injury that left him in a coma for days after the crash. He’s currently undergoing cognitive, physical and speech therapy.

Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, who were also Tracy’s cast mates on “30 Rock”, handled SNL 40’s “Tracy Morgan Moment”.
