Fresh off reaching a settlement in his lawsuit with Walmart, regarding their responsibility in the car crash that left him fighting for his life, Tracy Morgan will sit down for his first TV interview on Monday, June 1.

Morgan will speak on NBC’s The Today Show with Matt Lauer. Morgan’s lawyer, Benedict Morelli, told Lauer on Thursday that since the settlement, the comedian “has a new lease on life.”

Morgan has been in recovery since the crash, which happened nearly one year ago on June 7, 2014. He wanted to participate in the SNL40, but he could not attend. His former 30 Rock co-stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin introduced a sweet tribute to honor him.
