Tracy Morgan Cancels Show Over Anti-LGBT Laws

Tracy Morgan has cancelled a show in Tunica Mississippi, over a recently enacted new law that allows businesses the right to reject employees and customers who are LGBT.

The “Religious Accomodations Act” and others like it have inspired celebrities Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Cyndi Lauper, Ringo Starr, and Pearl Jam to cancel gigs in states like Mississippi and North Carolina.

“Tracy did not make this decision lightly,” his rep said in a statement. “He very much looks forward to rescheduling his tour dates in the area after the ‘Protecting Freedom of Conscience from Government Discrimination Act’ is either repealed or heavily amended.”

Back in 2011 Morgan took some heat over a joke that was criticized as anti-gay, when he said if he had a gay son, he would pull out a knife and stab him.
