Tour De France Fans Experience Intimate Interaction With Riders
Hate the limited access most sports allow you to have? Then attend the Tour de France. You can stand right along the road and cheer your favorite riders on, or even run alongside them on the big climbs. Or you could park a camper (or caravan, as they’re known in Europe) right on the side of the route. And if you’re lucky, one of the riders could stop by and drain the lizard in your lavatory. Which is what happened to this lucky Belgian couple during Saturday’s Stage 14, when French cyclist Arnaud Demare and a friend stopped by to make water.
