Too Bad They Can’t Just Beam Them Up

The private company Space X aborted it’s launch of a rocket headed to the international space station on Saturday.  A part of it’s mission was to take the ashes of James “Scotty” Doohan from Star Trek into orbit along with ashes from astronaut Gordon “Gordo” Cooper.  This wasn’t the first attempt to get the ashes into space.  Space X had a malfunction in 2008 that sent the rocket carrying the remains into New Mexico before they were recovered.  They’ll make the attempt again next week.
