Tom Petty Comments On “The Sam Smith Thing”

Singer Sam Smith was forced to pay royalties to Tom Petty due to the similarities between his song ‘Stay With Me’ and Petty’s ‘Won’t Back Down’. Petty has now released a statement, calling it a ‘musical accident’ and that he doesn’t know how the story was even released to the press. Now if Vanilla Ice and David Bowie could finally settle their differences we could have world peace.
