The Time Nick Frost Powerbombed Simon Pegg Through a Bed

You would think that just collaborating and performing with Simon Pegg in movies like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End would provide Nick Frost with enough amazing stories to tell. But when you’re also friends and drinking buddies with Simon Pegg, that’s a whole new realm of storytelling that Nick Frost has to offer. Nick was on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday and shared one of the more embarrassingly hysterical tales about a night of drinking between Frosty and Peggy.

As Nick Frost tells it, years ago when the two of them lived together, Simon and Nick had guests over and while entertaining, they got into a full blown wrestling match with each other. The impromptu wrestling match ended with Nick Frost picking up Simon Pegg and powerbombing him through Nick’s own bed, which left the bed completely collapsed and Nick’s thumb dangling off of his hand. All of this sounds bad enough, but against Nick’s wishes, the party guests tried to pick up the bed to put it back together and that’s when they made a discovery in two IKEA bags underneath it. You can guess what was in the bag or you can watch the Late Night clip below via YouTube to find out.

Nick Frost is putting those home wrestling skills to good use. He is currently working on a new comedy written and directed by Stephen Merchant and executive produced and starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson based on the true story of a family of wrestlers trying to make it in the business. The film is called “Fighting with My Family” and it’s the story of WWE superstar Paige and her real-life family of wrestlers turned into an action comedy. The film is due in theaters in 2018.

Wrestling comedies and at-home death matches aren’t the only place that Nick Frost is putting his theatrical fighting skills to good use. He can also be seen in the AMC action drama series, “Into The Badlands“. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world 500 years in the future, but Nick Frost admits that with the way things are in the world now, it could actually be taking place in the year 2019. The series is known for its incredibly well thought out martial arts scenes.

Into The Badlands” is on Sundays at 10pm on AMC.
