Tim Burton Says Winona Ryder Is Back For “Beetlejuice 2”
Tim Burton confirmed to MTV that he will be directing the sequel to “Beetlejuice”. He also believes that no only does he have Michael Keaton on board to do the follow up film, but also Winona Ryder.
When asked if Ryder would be back, Burton said, “Oh yeah, yeah yeah yeah,” he said. “Oh yeah, oh yeah. Yeah yeah, oh yeah.” So his response was a little cryptic. But you can read in to his very vague answer that Winona will be appearing in “Beetlejuice 2”.
He added that he had recently worked with her and that influenced his decision to do another “Beetlejuice”. “I worked with [Ryder], I hadn’t seen her in awhile… and she was so great,” Burton said. “I was so happy to see her. So those kinds of elements mean something to me. Michael, and her… and that character, I just miss it, there’s some freedom about that character that I love.”
This is perfect timing with the release of A Porno by Tim Burton.
