This week celebrities and corporations have found themselves putting out fires and sending out “I’m Sorrys”. From slurs to certain hand gestures to questionable Halloween costume choices, this week is already full of apologies. Some apologies may be warranted and others not. 1. Dexter Manley Calls Troy Aikman “A Queer”

Former Washington Redskin Dexter Manley has no love for former Cowboy QB Troy Aikman. On a WTOP show, Dexter said he always thought Troy Aikman was a queer. Since then, both the radio station and Dexter Manley have both apologized.

2. Oakland Raiders Defensive Coordinator Flips Off The Referees

During Sunday’s game at the Steelers, Oakland Raiders defensive coordinator Jason Tarver wasn’t happy with how the refs were calling the game and flipped them off. The league won’t punish Tarver, but the Raiders intend on doing it. Tarver has apologized for drawing the attention away from his players.

3. ABC Apologizes For The Jimmy Kimmel Show

ABC is apologizing to the Chinese for a kids segment on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, where a kid suggested “killing everyone in China” as a way of dealing with American debt with that country.

4. The Utah Jazz Apologize For Tweeting Blackface Fan Photo

A couple of Jazz fans recreated a photo of Karl Malone and John Stockton. The guy playing the part of Malone was in blackface. That didn’t matter to the team;  they tweeted the photo out asking “Can anyone top this Jazz Halloween costume?” The Jazz apologized saying the photo was taken down because it may be insensitive.

5. Manchester United Apologizes For Their Nazi-esque Email

English football club Manchester United sent out an email to fans referring to their new young players as the “New Order” and included a Man U logo that resembled a swastika. The club has since apologized calling the email inappropriate and promising to take action in their creative department.
