The Wayne Brady Joke Too Edgy for the Comedy Roast

Yes that’s a real headline. had a joke that Comedy Central pulled from the Roast. Why does Comedy Central even do these things– they seem to be embarrassed by them.

@K Dubya Her performance at the Sheen roast was phenomenal.  Seriously, she manhandled Mike Tyson, for God’s sake.

That joke aired when I watched it for the original airing.  Maybe they pulled it for the re-runs…for commercial timing purposes I’m sure.  As for the joke itself:  If a roast comedian isn’t making people wince and groan, they’re doing it wrong.  As long as the audience is laughing as well (which they were) they’re doing it right.

No issue with them cutting it in re-runs. The joke is very edgy, it’s about a retarded infant for fuck’s sake. HBO or Showtime would probably cut it also.

Comedy Central is fairly lenient on what it broadcasts. After a certain time at night, they quit bleeping curse words. They also air South Park with content that would never air on any other network.

Yeah, it’s censorship to a degree, but I cut them a pass for how far they go relative to any other basic cable or broadcast network.

@Lifeinafatlane That was hysterical, too.  I’m not a big Jeff Ross fan, but that was a great joke.

The joke was all right.  They would be well within their rights to cut it because it wasn’t a great joke.

Personally I cringed more at Anthony Jeselnik’s “8 Simple Rules” joke; hilarious as it was it was so uncomfortable watching Katey Sagal’s reaction.

Yea.. here is the solution to the worlds problems.  PRETEND like everyone is the same. If he used one of her other kids then the joke would be allowed? Stupid, Let people do their bits. If we don’t stop this cascade of cuntdom, we are doomed.  Next thing I’m not gonna be able to call the neighbor hood boy who wears tights and a pink sweatshrt a FAG.   SO FAt people are the only fodder anymore?

If the rerun showed the joke, I assume it was part of that late night “secret stash” stuff where they allow cursing & don’t really edit out stuff. Didn’t see it, ehhh.
