“The Simpsons” Gets Two More Seasons

It’s the longest running scripted primetime series on American television. Now add two more seasons to that. FOX has renewed “The Simpsons” for its 27th and 28th seasons. The grand total after the two added seasons will be 625 episodes. WOO HOO!

Getting the renewal done now, let’s FOX keep “The Simpsons” on schedule for next Fall. According to Entertainment Weekly, each episode takes 6 months to produce. “The Simpsons” continues to be a ratings draw for the network and is a top 10 show among men 18 to 34 years old.

FOX feels great about its television line up. “The Simpsons” is getting two more seasons and other network shows including “Bob’s Burgers”, “Family Guy”, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, “Last Man on Earth”, “New Girl”, “Sleepy Hollow”, “Empire” and “Gotham” have all been renewed by the network for next season.
