The Nor’easter Has a Name and The National Weather Service Doesn’t Like It.

The Weather Channel made good on their promise to start naming major winter storms.  And this week’s nor’easter has been named Athena.  The National Weather Service hasn’t approved this and asked the Weather Channel to stop using the name.  Apparently only violently destructive hurricanes that claim lives can have cute girl names.
