The 5: Great Bugs Bunny Cartoons

This Week on the Five:  Great Bugs Bunny Classics

This may have been one of the hardest of all the five topics to choose just five. Although the world of animated television and film has grown tremendously since the 40’s and new technologies have changed the face of animation, its hard to think of any cartoon that has been as consistently sharp as Bugs Bunny. Funny to kids and even funnier to adults, we know you’ll have many to add that aren’t on this list.

1.  Little Red Riding Rabbit.

We’re starting off with one of the lesser known greats.   Bugs meets up with a very annoying, very loud mouthed Red Riding Hood.  Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, what big eyes ya got!!!!!!!!!

2. Baseball Bugs

It’s a banned bugs, but it’s one of the all time greats.  The Gas House Gorillas vs the Tea Totallers, and the Gorillas are de-stroying.  That is…until Bugs Bunny gets involved.

3. Hillbilly Hare

Not many could outsmart the hillbilly brothers Curt and Punkin’head Martin.   But don’t worry. Bugs has got this.  Tons of hardcore violence earned this episode some edits. Here it is in its original form.

4. Long Haired Hare

Everyone loves a banjo, especially when our buddy Bugs is strumming along without a care.  Except of course for opera singer extraodinaire Giovanni.  He’s determined to put the boots to Bugs. I don’t want to ruin it for you, but you don’t need to worry.  Bugs, posing as conductor Leopold, wins.

5. Bugs and Thugs

Bugs Bunny in a dual role as himself and the police.  Add in Rocky and Mugsy for possibly the most quotable Bugs of all time.  Shaddap Shattin Up.
