The 47 Percent Already Has A Political Ad Out

Jumping on Mitt Romney’s comments about the people who vote for Obama, the presidents campaign and Truth Team have already churned out a political ad slamming him for it. Romneys comments were played for people on the street and their reactions were caught on camera. For some reason they didn’t agree with Mitt’s point of view.

you know, mitt’s not in touch with today’s generation.  we deserve government money because we’re smarter and more sophisticated than previous generations.  i shouldn’t have to work, cause the obama’s got lots of money that he can give me.  i deserve it because i’m gay and i get bullied by rednecks.  i deserve their money because they say mean things about me.  it’s probably because they’re dumber and feel intimidated by my intelligence.   i bet those right wingers are so dumb, they can’t even respond to my brilliance.  give me your money, christians.  you don’t need it, i do.

@pipeloader There’s clearly a sound approach when it comes to criticizing the current administration.   This is a generalization, but responses like this, regurgitated almost in uniform all over on the right, the “other side”, are so fucking moronic and frustrating that it has slowly made me prejudiced to people sympathetic to said rhetoric.
The two party system is becoming increasingly successful in its failure.

I can’t believe the media actually validated Romney’s stat that 47% pay no taxes.  Meanwhile, our President, who talks about the War on Women, was at a Jay-Z fundraiser last night. Jay-Z, the man who wrote:”You know I thug ’em, f**k ’em, love ’em, leave ’em. ‘Cause I don’t f**kin’ need ’em. Take ’em out the hood, keep ’em lookin good. But I don’t f**kin’ feed ’em.”

@pipeloader Obama lets his kids listen to Jay-Z.  There hasn’t been this much excitement over an entertainer by an administration since Tipper caught her son Albert with Dice’s The Day The Laughter Died.

I’m confused, so 47% of the people voting for Obama = half of the country.

They’re all peddling snake oil,  but Romney made a valid point how he doesn’t have to pander to the extreme left/those on some form of welfare and he’s lambasted for it? Wow big shock, a republican admits he probably cant get democrats to vote for him…

@Toin Coss Yea, and they know who he’s talking about.  My SIL’s whole family do not work, have gotten loans for TWO houses while getting and selling their government food stamps so they can buy Tattoo’s, send their children to the school for free breakfast, lunch and sorry, no money for dinner we needed cigarettes, did I mention NO ADULT IN 6 works

And bitch about the man holding them down?

You know they vote for Bama cause he gives them the bama money.  Don’t know where it comes from but he’s giving it to them.
OH, and of the two breading age adults in the family, they’ve made 4 so far that every tax payer is paying for.  Everyone that is going to vote for Mitt remembers damn well the last Democrat that said ‘Don’t ask what you’re country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.’

Every since then it’s been, ‘Hey wha my free money at?’

You know it, I know it, they know it and the truth fucking hurts.

This guy lives in a fantasy-land of right-wing, bullshit myths. I’m an attorney, and, while I don’t make a ton of money, I do pretty well for myself. Thus, I pay a lot of taxes every year, and so does else everyone in my firm. I would venture to say that the majority of those people I work with are planning on voting for Obama, and so are the majority of my college educated friends who have jobs. On the other hand, you have hordes of people like my father who sit at home, collect disability when they could otherwise be working, and forward moronic, anti-Obama emails all day. The notion that the only people who don’t pay taxes vote for Democrats, and all of the tax payers vote for Republicans is simply absurd. If I had a quarter for every redneck, trailer-trash idiot in this deep-red state who extolls the values of the Republican party while living on the government dole then I’d have more money than pre-IPO Zuckerberg.

Sorry but it’s like I wake up one day and realize that all my fellow adults seem to still believe in santa claus.  Watching these seemingly intellegent people play along to the story line seems abusrd.   Is it all political entertainment programming or am I paranoid and crazy?

       @eddietirebiter
Believing you have to pay taxes if you want things like Medicare, Food Stamps, Unemployment Insurance, Social Security, Pell Grants, and Medicaid is the opposite of “Santa Claus”. If you want to have an actual society you have to take care of the vulnerable people among us. That costs money. That’s why we have income taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes, capital gains taxes,  property taxes, inheritance taxes, gas taxes, ect.  So we can fund a society.
Believing in Santa Claus is cutting taxes paid primarily by the wealthy (income, cap gains, inheritance) and expecting that (instead of the burden being shifted to other more regressive taxes that you and I pay), a big glob of their windfall wil work through the system and plop down on your head somehow.
What’s really going on is they’re  drinking Johnny Walker Blue in their office suites and pent houses and pissing out the window on us. Atleast close your mouth and put on a hat, don’t invite it in.
