Team Coco Records Releases Ian Edwards Debut Album

Earlier this Spring Team Coco announced the launch of a new comedy record label, “Team Coco Records.” The label plans to release albums from rising comedians. Part of the philosophy of the Team Coco Label is to help young comedians assert greater creative control over their work.

Tuesday June 10th, the Team Coco label is putting out their first album, Ian Edwards’ “100% Half Assed.” Edwards’ debut album was taped at the La Jolla Comedy Store on March 8, 2014 in front of a live audience.

In the special, Edwards opens up about being from Jamaica, the difficulties of communicating with women, and lets us in on what it’s like to be a vegan, and how people treat you when you tell them you’re a Vegan (spoiler alert- not well). In track 11, Edwards explains the difference between living in Israel and living in the US (calling the cops on Jews coming
into your store instead of calling the cops on black people). And Edwards kills with a really funny bit about Bruce Lee in track 10.  Other tracks include “Shark Attack”, “Accidentally Pregnant”, “Women Have the Power’ and “Mixed Race.”

In addition to his stand up career, Edwards writes for the hit CBS show “Two Broke Girls”, he’s performed on Conan, appeared on Last Call with Carson Daly, he’s written for Saturday Night Live, The Boondocks, Black Dynamite, and performed at a long list of festivals including perform at some of the most prestigious comedy and music festivals in the world, including Montreal and Chicago Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, HBO’s Aspen Comedy and Arts Festival, Edinburgh, Melbourne, SXSW, Bridgetown, San Francisco Sketchfest, Moontower Comedy Festival and Traverse City Winter Comedy Arts Festival, Michael Moore and Jeff Garlin’s film festival.

We’re looking forward to seeing future releases from Team Coco records.
