Taxi Gouging in NYC: $220 Fare for 7 Miles

Uber taxi service, which uses an cell phone app to get people cabs, racked up a $220 dollar bill for one fare from the upper east side to DUMBO in NYC last week. That’s usually a $100 dollar bill with the service, but the 46 minute ride was doubled while mass transit was totally useless. It’s good to see entrepreneurs making the most out of a bad situation.
