He has a substandard poodle, he owns the domain name patheticmen.com, his groupies are middle aged jewish couples who invite him over for soup, he likes to find comedy in odd places, and he is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of his show, Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. The "he" in question, of course is stand up comedian Jonathan Katz.

Moontower Comedy Festival Must See Shows of 2015

MOONTOWER COMEDY & ODDITIES FESTIVAL is coming up this month, and once again its shaping up to be one of the best festivals of the year. Moontower, more than any other festival has the feeling of comedy summer camp. The venues are all close enough to walk to, the weather is pretty stunning, and there's great food all around you-- including some of the best bbq in the country. Plus there are parties every night, a giant Ping Pong tournament and walk in access to dozens of events, all with the company of somewhere around 100 of the country's funniest comedians

Nick DiPaolo Killing It In His New Special

If you’re really into comedy, you know Nick DiPaolo is one of the products of Boston’s comedy boom and part of the pantheon of guys from the "The Table" at The Comedy Cellar who became household names through shows like Tough Crowd and The Comedy Central Roasts. But plenty of folks also know him from his former radio show with Artie Lange, his current podcast, as one of the guys playing poker on Louie, and, of course, from his long and successful stand-up career.

Comedian Rick Shapiro Talks About Doing Comedy With Parkinsons

In April 2012, comedian Rick Shapiro was very sick, and didn't know why. He was completely immobilized for about two months. He had spent ninety days in a hospital, sixty days in a nursing home, two weeks in a rehabilitation facility, and was continually misdiagnosed throughout the process. Rick and his wife went through a frustrating ordeal, with some doctors not returning their calls for months, others suggesting that Rick's problems stemmed from an identity crisis. One doctor even told Rick-- under his breath-- maybe you should take up basketball. A year later, for the first time, a doctor told them that she felt Shapiro needed a doctor who knew more than she did, and referred Rick and Tracy to the Mayo clinic.
