Martin’s opening set, the first since he left stand up thirty five years ago, was a complete surprise for audience members. Not surprisingly, Martin’s act was well received.

Wednesday night on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jerry Seinfeld performed a tight five. The crowd went bananas for the comedy legend when he took the stage with a standing ovation and a "Jerry" chant. Jerry walked out with a new growth training beard and talked about fat people, he addresses his anger toward donut holes, and his assessment of the buffet restaurant.

Joan Rivers, George Carlin, Harold Ramis and Milton Berle are no longer with us, but their children and family members, Melissa Rivers, Kelly Carlin, Julian Ramis and Marshall Berle (who is actually the nephew of the late great comedian), grabbed ceremonial shovels and helped to break ground for the construction of a new National Comedy Center in Jamestown New York on Saturday, according to wgrz.

Bill Maher Takes On a College Student Over Seinfeld PC Debate

This week on Real Time with Bill Maher, the topic turned once again to Seinfeld's now infamous commentary on college campuses being too PC, and Maher took a young college student to task for his opinions on the matter. The student who had written an "open letter" to Jerry Seinfeld that was published by Huffington Post. Bill Maher, in turn, called the young writer a "little shit" and composed his own open letter back.
