Comedian and Actor Jack Carter (1923-2015)

There are some performers who become masters of a particular, single art form. There are others who become a jack of all trades...accomplished in many. Jack Carter was one of those types...a flexible, multi-talented comic, actor, dancer, and singer. He may not have ever become an icon like some of his contemporaries (who had great respect and reverence for him), but reached one of his most important goals...to survive, something the 93 year old did personally as well as professionally.

Who Is Jeffrey Gurian and Why Does Everyone in Comedy Know Him!?

Jeffrey Gurian is one of the most well known fixtures in the comedy world. You'll see him in clubs, at most comedy festivals, and at red carpets with a microphone in hand ready to interview his favorite comics. He's not a comedian (although he has performed stand up), and he doesn't work for a major television network. He isn't a super agent, or comedy club owner. Jeffrey isn't a 'power player' in the usual sense of the word. He hosts his interviews for his own self-produced YouTube Channel, Comedy Matters TV. So you might not expect him to be one of the most connected people in the world of comedy, and yet, he is.

After reminiscing about some great Friar's Club moments, the subject of Jerry Lewis came up, and Essman revealed that she had been invited to a tribute to Jerry Lewis, but refused to go.
