Hours and Hours of Just For Laughs Comedy Without Leaving Home

The annual Just for Laughs Festival is undisputedly the Godfather of Comedy Festivals. Everyone in comedy has either performed at Just for Laughs or wants to, but not everyone can make it to Montreal. This year, Just for Laughs is bringing the festival to you. Today the J4L team has announced that the Pete Holmes Elevator Show, a 90 minute Prime Time Special hosted by Howie Mandell, Funny as Hell featuring plenty of stand up hotsed by Jon Dore, hours of comedy performances from Just For Laughs, and The Nasty Show hosted by Artie Lange!

Big Jay Oakerson Tapes New Crowd Work Series; Get Tickets

NBC Universal is launching a brand new streaming service in January just for comedy. It's called Seeso and it will house a ton of NBC comedy content as well as a slate of comedy original series. Big Jay Oakerson's all crowd work stand up show What's Your Fucking Deal is one of the first original series that will air on the service.

Oakerson, Burr, Hannibal and More Rock Out Gramercy Park for the New York Comedy Festival

Friday night Bill Burr, Hannibal Buress, Big Jay Oakerson, Matteo Lane, and Iliza Shlesinger all took to the stage for the Josh Adam Meyer's Goddamn Comedy Jam as part of the New York Comedy Festival. The theater was jam packed, with seats in back and a General Admission floor packed shoulder to shoulder with some pretty drunk fans excited to see their favorite comics rock with the GDCJ's live band.

We cover the country, but New York's our home, so it's an exciting week when the New York Comedy Festival comes around. It's unlike any other festival in the country. It's gigantic, but it's also decidedly unfestival-like because it's spread out through the entire city without a central focal point.
