“Stranger Things” Season 2 Trailer Drops At Comic Con

Halloween came early for the San Diego Comic Con guests in Hall H on Saturday. The convention goers who packed the hall for the “Stranger Things” panel were treated to a brand new trailer for Season 2 from Netflix and executive producers Shawn Levy, Matt Duffer, and Ross Duffer. The producers were joined by a full cast offering of Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, David Harbour, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Sadie Sink, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, and Dacre Montgomery. The second season will be available for streaming in its entirety on Friday, October 27th which will be Halloween weekend.

The trailer takes us back to 1984 where the Upside Down is obviously still around. To get ready for the late October release, the trailer is set to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and we hear the creepy narration done by Vincent Price for the song while we see images of the kids trick or treating as the Ghostbusters and bringing something home in their homemade ghost trap. In the words of Sheriff Jim Hooper, “Nothing is going to go back to the way it was, not really.” One of the visuals in the trailer is a campaign yard sign for “Reagan – Bush ’84”. Who knew back then we’d have even scarier campaign signs in 2016!?
