The Stand’s ‘Mash-Up Show’ to feature Radio Host Ron Bennington and Big Jay Oakerson
Every month, one of New York City’s hottest comedy clubs, The Stand, holds an event called The Mash-Up Show. The show, hosted by comedians Luis J. Gomez and Adrienne Iapalucci, features a deep roster of comics who take the stage two at a time. The lineups are often jam packed with heavy hitters, so having two comics on stage simultaneously leads to some seriously hilarious moments. As a comedy fan, you’ll be hard pressed to find any other venue where you can see a tandem performance by Big Jay Oakerson and Ari Shaffir, or Janeane Garofalo and Bonnie McFarlane, so these shows are not to be missed.
This month’s show will be taking place tomorrow, March 24 at 8:30 pm, and will include a sure-to-be-brilliant dual performance by SiriusXM’s Ron Bennington and Big Jay Oakerson. It’s a rare chance to see Bennington, who performed stand up before moving full time to radio- taking the stage in a comedy club. Other comics who will be making an appearance include Zac Amico, Seth Herzog, Pete Lee, Emily Tarver, Jordan Carlos, Christi Chiello, and more. Tickets are $15 and can be bought at the door or on The Stand’s website. Online buyers can get a 10% discount if they share the event on Twitter or Facebook during checkout. If you’re planning on getting tickets at the door, check ahead, this event should sell out.
