Skankfest Wants You!
“Skankfest NYC 2018 Showcase submissions are officially being accepted! No submission fee required, and all spots are PAID! For consideration please send bio and a five to eight minute video of your set via YouTube or Vimeo link to skankfestnyc@gmail.com. Submissions will be accepted until Monday May 14th 12pm ET.
Skankfest NYC is not your typical “comedy festival”! The 3nd annual, two and a half day event, (which is more of a “comedy party” than comedy festival), is a celebration of free speech and the positive treatment of comedians in the industry! The festivities will take place in Brooklyn over the course of July 14th to 15th weekend at The Brooklyn Bazaar, with a VIP Kick off party at The Creek and The Cave in Long Island City on Friday, July 13th!
What makes Skankfest special is the party vibe! You aren’t just watching the best comedians in the country perform but you are interacting with them for the entire weekend. Typically comedy festivals are spread out across multiple venues all over whichever city they are hosted. Skankfest’s shows take place at Brooklyn Bazaar, a multi-level event space with 4 stages, a restaurant & multiple bars! You can expect some of the best comics in the world, live podcasts, meet & greets, contests, tattoos, cheap drinks, great food, and so much more!
