Six Flags Removes Confederate Flag From Texas Park

Six Flags is named after the six nations who at one time or another ruled over Texas; France, Spain, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the Confederate States of America and the United States of America. Although Six Flags was not flying the rebel Confederate flag that is most associated with racism and the Civil War, they decided to take down the “Stars and Bars,” the first flag of the Confederate States. If Six Flags really wanted to appease everyone, they would have just brought back that crazy old dancing guy.
