SiriusXM’s Todd Shapiro Launches 3rd Annual TIFF ‘OomPH! Lounge’ in Toronto
It’s that time of year again. “Back to school,” you ask? Well, yes, but that’s not what we’re talking about here. We’re talking about the OomPH! Lounge, which made its return to Toronto today for its 3rd annual residency in the city for the Toronto Film Festival.
The OomPH! Lounge was created by SiriusXM host Todd Shapiro (The Todd Shapiro Show) three years ago to serve as a hub of action during the city’s huge film festival. Shapiro, who has been a beloved SiriusXM host for over 14 years, decided to use his connections with various folks in entertainment — Canadian and beyond — to host a week-long hangout with both entertainers and fans alike. This year, the Lounge is situated at the brand new, ultra modern Brant Park condo building, right in the middle of all the action, and is stacked to the brim with merchandise from sponsors like New Amsterdam Vodka and Carnivor Wine. Attendees can even get huge discounts on Shapiro’s clothing line, Toronto Desired >> Driven, and try out the limited edition Oomph Lager that was made by Lake Wilcox Brewing Co. just for this occasion. Shapiro will also be broadcasting on SiriusXM Canada Laughs channel 168 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the 6th — 8th and the 11th and 12th.
If you’re interested in checking out the festivities, you can head over to 39 Brant St., where the Lounge will be open from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from September 6th — September 13th.
