Simon Brodkin Interrupts Sepp Blatter Presser By Throwing Cash At Him (A.O.T.FIFA?)
Comedian Simon Brodkin, in character as Lee Nelson, made headlines last month by interrupting Kanye’s Glastonbury set. On Monday, he interrupted a press conference by FIFA President Sepp Blatter by throwing cash at him and telling him it was for “North Korea 2026.” Brodkin has a history with this type of “invasive” comedy, having previously being arrested for trying to warm up on the pitch with Manchester United and jumping in stage during a performance on “X Factor (UK).” The Daily Telegraph’s Ben Rumsby reports Brodkin attempted to get into a FIFA press conference in May but was turned away.
