Script Readings Return to Just for Laughs, Directed by Jay Baruchel and Jeremy Garelick

The JFL/Thruline Television Staged Readings event, which takes place at the Just For Laughs’ ComedyPRO industry conference each year, will be returning to the festival this year, and directors Jay Baruchel (Man Seeking Woman, Goon) and Jeremy Garelick (The Wedding Ringer, The Break-Up) will be returning to helm the readings. The event features two standout scripts, one American and one Canadian, that will be given the read-through treatment by a panel of comics and actors. Two scripts from previous years, A**hole Detective and Wunderkind, have been picked up by outlets as a result of the readings. Previous readings have featured comics like Chris D’Elia, Sarah Tiana and Jimmy Carr.

The two scripts and the team who will be reading them at the conference have not been announced, but that information is expected to be released sometime in early July.
