Schtick or Treat is Bigger Than Ever This Year: Win a Pair of Tickets!

Mark Normand and Matt Ruby

We are giving away a pair of tickets to one of the funniest and funnest nights in comedy!

Every year, young comedians from New York City and Los Angeles get together to honor those who came before them in comedy. It’s Schtick or Treat as the next wave of great comics take the stage to celebrate Halloween by putting on costumes, accents or both, to perform as comedy legends. It’s always an absolute riot for audience and performers every year with an assortment of impersonations, roasts, send ups and homages complete with lots of cross dressing, fake mustaches, and enough wigs to hide anybody .  If you think you’ve outgrown Halloween parties, but still want to do something that involves costumes, you gotta go to Schtick or Treat. It’s an insanely good time. (Read more about last year’s Schtick or Treat here!)

Matt Ruby and Mark Normand host the event which takes place on both coasts, and in addition to the dozens of comedians who perform in the show, you’ll find comics hanging around to watch. Last year, we spotted Impractical Jokers’ Sal Vulcano, New York Comedy Club owner Emilio Savone and his wife, and Michael Che in the audience, there to catch the 42 sets.

Jim Tews as Gallagher

This year’s Schtick or Treat is going to be the biggest and best yet.

It’s the show’s 10th anniversary, and producer Luisa Diez is upping the game in every way imaginable. The venue is bigger, the comedians are bigger, the roster is bigger and you do not want to be left out of this party. This year, the show features 47 acts including over 55 comics. To celebrate, SoT is moving up to Brooklyn’s Bell House, and bringing back some schticky alums who haven’t done the show in years. Yes, the show will still be full of young rising hot shots, but some big names are planning to return to make the scene as well. Big Jay Oakerson, Dan Soder, Aaron Berg, Chelsea Davidson, Jim Tews, Yamaneika Saunders, D.C. Benny, Kyle Ayers, and Mike Drucker will be among those getting on stage.

Jordan Temple as Steve Harvey

This year’s “roster” includes: Kevin Hart, Iliza Schlessinger, Sebastian Maniscalco, Kathy Griffin, Wanda Sykes, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Larry the Cable Guy, Dane Cook, Sarah Silverman, Dave Cross, Tig Notaro, Louis CK, Jerry Seinfeld, Reggie Watts, Bernie Mac, Weird Al Yankovic, Jim Gaffigan, Chelsea Peretti, Natasha Leggero, Todd Barry, Jordan Peele, Ray Romano, and many more.

I can’t tell you who will be impersonating whom, but it will be epic.

Erin Lampart as Phyllis Diller

The show was created by Mark Normand and Matt Ruby, and has been hosted by Matt and Mark, and produced by one of New York City’s great producers, Luisa Diez, for ten years. Trust me, they know how to throw a party. You’d be crazy to miss this.
