CEO Kevin Systrom said that Hurricane Sandy was probably the biggest thing to happen for Instagram. 800k photos were posted with the hashtag #Sandy, compared to 85k for this past Superbowl’s hashtag. Well that probably has to do with there not being any major flooding or horrible human tragedy being associated with the Superbowl, unless you’re a Patriots fan. Kevin also added this – “Instagram is a community, not a filters app.” Looks like someone’s a little sensitive.
