Samantha Bee Apologizes for that Cunt Thing
Here it is! The inevitable companion piece to the story that someone said something shocking– its the apology story.
Samantha Bee called Ivanka Trump a “feckless cunt” on Full Frontal last night. You might expect that going for the Big C would have consequences- particularly against the daughter of a sitting President and indeed it does. Full Frontal lost some ad cash over the move- Autotrader.com announced they were suspending sponsorship of the show, saying the comments were “offensive and unacceptable and do not reflect the views of our company,” in a Twitter statement.

And Bee herself issued an apology for using the c-word, both to Ivanka Trump and her audience.
TBS host Samantha Bee issued an apology on Thursday afternoon for using a vulgarity to refer to First Daughter and White House adviser Ivanka Trump on her Wednesday night show. “It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it,” she said referring to the decision to use an expletive to describe her.

TBS issued its own statement, applauding Samantha Bee for her apology. “Samantha Bee has taken the right action in apologizing for the vile and inappropriate language she used about Ivanka Trump last night,” TBS said. “Those words should not have been aired. It was our mistake too, and we regret it.”
White House comment was swift and strong with Sarah Huckabee Sanders saying it was a vile and vicious comment. “The collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling,” she added.
