Rory Albanese has been hired by Jon Stewart to be the third executive producer for The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore which will be replacing the Colbert Report when Stephen Colbert moves to CBS to take over The Late Show. Stewart picking Albanese for the job shouldn’t be a surprise as he previously worked as Executive Producer on The Daily Show from 2009-2013 along with various other posts during his 14 year tenor with the show. Hosted by Emmy® Award-winning Larry Wilmore, The Minority Report takes a comedic look at current events, the news, and pop culture from unique perspectives not usually found on cable television.

Comedy Central is hoping The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore will continue their tradition of popular and critically acclaimed late night formats. What we know now about the show is that it will “feature a diverse panel of voices currently underrepresented in comedy and television.”

Created and produced by Jon Stewart, the series looks to deliver the news in a distinct point of view. Albanese joins Jon Stewart and Larry Wilmore as executive producers so fans of Comedy Central’s award winning late night programming should expect great things, and wait for more details closer to the series’ release.
